1. The task progress so far is happening at a good pace, and Shital is not seeing serious technical difficulties. He showed me some working pages (email alias creation/editing etc).
2. The templates he's using are a mess. It appears he does not know the repository of templates that WebConcepts had created, hence he's creating his own templates, all of which look really yucky. This should not be a major problem to fix in terms of time, but it's a major problem if it's not fixed. He and I will both speak with Vaibhav about this.
3. He will create a spreadsheet with one row per screen/template to be modified. Against this, he'll maintain the date on which he completed the template. This will give us a handle on the percentage of work completed and the rate of progress.

Discussed the task with Shital and Vaibhav just now. They have seen the work involved, and both feel that one day per screen may be a good estimate.

Shital will work on a VM in the lab segment, and will take nightly backups into his home dir on the main compute server.

We will aim that all screens other than (i) fetchmail and (ii) mfilter UI will be done by end of October.

Sent mail to Shital today, telling him that he must start work on this. He will start where Akshay left off.
