IP Addressing scheme for our LANs

The following IP addressing scheme is used for assignment of IP addresses in our production and lab environments:

  1. The production environment uses 10.1.1/24 IP subnet
  2. The lab environment uses 10.1.2/24 subnet
  3. host numbers 1 to 20 are reserved for servers
  4. 21 to 150 are reserved for thin clients
  5. 151 to 200 are reserved for Laptops
  6. 201 to 254 are reserved for Desktops
