How to activate webmail access for particular user

 To activate webmail access to particular user
 
Check the intranet Id for the user(whose remote access is to be activate) in /etc/passwd using command 
less /etc/passwd 
 
Add that intranet ID in the file 
/etc/merce/dbusers/sqmailusers
 
Now see for the time stamp for 
/opt/merce/adm/passwd/sqmailusers.db
 whose update time must be after you have made the changes in 'sqmailusers' file. 
 This sqmailusers.db file is updated by /opt/merce/sbin/dbfilesync whose entry is in crontab.
